WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL
Week 5 - Tower of Babel
October 7th, 2018
Setting the scene...
This week we reach the final story in the primeval history section of the book of Genesis. The narrative culminates with the famous Tower of Babel, where an emerging nation desires to “make a name” for themselves by building a giant tower to storm the very heavens of God. God scatters this effort and confuses them. Why? Is it wrong to seek greatness? Is God threatened by human efforts? As you read this Bible passage, we encourage you to listen to the accompanying sermon audio to hear more about the context of this story.
