WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL
Week 11- Joseph's Dream
November 19th, 2018
Setting the scene...
Joseph has a rocky start to his story. Though he is his father, Jacob’s, favorite son he is despised by his brothers. They conspire to sell him off to Egypt where Joseph encounters difficult circumstances - but he rises above it. He organizes himself and makes the world around him better and ultimately is made to be in authority wherever he goes - even in prison! Ultimately this penchant for capability, along with his ability to interpret dreams, gets him to the right hand of the Pharaoh himself.
Reading for this week...
As you read Genesis 37-41, pay special attention to the theme of dreams that surround Joseph's journey.
Questions for reflection...
Where are sources of chaos in your life? Where do you feel most anxious, most afraid? What can you do, that you WOULD do, to start to make those centers of chaos better?
What’s stopping you from doing that?
