The Helping Hands Food Shelf has been operating since 1985 and serves over 45 families per month in Delano. Over 100 volunteers work each month to keep the families in our community well fed and help folks get back on their feet.
The Minnesota Annual Conference each year asks all of the churches to contribute to a love offering that helps gather a significant amount of money and resources for special causes. This year the primary gift was collected for hurricane relief in Puerto Rico.
Eagle's Healing Nest is a non-profit organization that is committed to meeting the needs of our veterans, service members and their families who suffer from the invisible wounds of war. The 'nest' provides a space for over 60 vets to find a place to heal and overcome a variety of challenges including homelessness, substance abuse and PTSD.
Love INC Heartland is a neighbor helping neighbor organization. We partner with 19 churches representing nine denominations in our communities. Each day many people call for help. We direct people to agencies that can meet their needs. Love INC’s office is a clearing house directing people to help. Many times there is not an organization in place to help for certain needs.
Since 1990, the Tree of Hope has collected toys which are distributed to Minnesota hospitals by the aviation community and community volunteers.
Children who are having surgery, chemotherapy, dialysis, transplants, etc., over the holidays are seriously ill and need our help. Other major toy collections do NOT give to hospitals, so we are trying to fill that need!
